Dr. Neeraj Basantani was interested in the field of medicine right from his schooling days, since his father is also a senior physician for last 35 years in his hometown Agra. He was constantly fascinated by how his father was healing his patients day in and day out with his knowledge.
Dr. Neeraj was the first amongst his schoolmates to enter MBBS in 2004 at the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College*, Pune.
He discovered his interest in Surgery and completed his post graduation from INHS Asvini, Mumbai followed by superspeciality training in MCh Neurosurgery at his alma mater AFMC, Pune.
He passed out as the topper of his batch in 2016 and was one of the youngest Neurosurgeons in the country, completing his studies before his 30th birthday.
He returned to his hometown Agra in 2016 to provide quality Neurosurgical services to weaker sections of the society and has since then operated more than 350 Neurosurgical patients, healed more than 10000 patients and transformed the lives of countless
families.
He has joined Shantived Institute of Medical Sciences as the Head of Neurosurgery department (March 2021), which is a state of the art, tertiary care, one of its kind hospital in North India, with all facilities under one roof.
